Top speed is limited at 155 mph, while the optional M Driver’s Package ups that figure to 177 mph.įurther performance highlights include a standard Active M Differential, unique chassis bracing, an M-specific aluminum front axle subframe, and standard Adaptive M Suspension with electronically controlled dampers. ![]() Properly motivated, the 2023 BMW M2 will sprint from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds when equipped with the manual transmission, and 3.9 seconds with the automatic transmission. The ‘six feeds the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission as standard, while an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic is optional. The 2023 BMW M2 produces a maximum of 453 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 406 pound-feet of torque at 2,650 rpm thanks to the S58 TwinPower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, boosted by two mono-scroll turbochargers. Let’s jump straight into the go-fast stuff. If anyone can chime in on their Andream MMI experience I would love to hear about audio quality, install etc, otherwise I will post once I commit to buying one.BMW just pulled the sheets on the all-new second-generation BMW M2, revealing a fresh performance-oriented rival for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. paying more than 250 for an MMI seems like robbery when a RP4 is 50 bucks and more powerful. However for some reason the 2019 G01 isn't an option for a head unit replacement. The Hifisense/inav etc head units are likely a better solution since you are getting a touchscreen interface for the same price as an MMI. Also, These MMI boxes are really just RP type boards running custom linux kernels (like running kodi on a firestick) and all you are really paying for is the OEM cable connections. I also think these boxes are almost identical with the only difference being who you buy it from and 4x4shop might be only slightly more reputable, and that might not be worth an extra 200 bucks (especially since they appear to have an older version without a wireless antenna for android auto. they keep telling they are working on itĪny updates? I'm close to pulling the trigger on an andream box, i just think they might be over-selling the "plug and play" part. I dont mind paying the Bimmertech Price if they had one that worked. If the andream works great and is the flashing process easy then. Well keep us informed if it works as its doing my nut in not being bale to get one working. Not sure if Andream is the main manufacturer or not but they seem to have decent support is what I'm gathering. I suspect most of the units on the market are made by the same manufacturer but just branded differently. I think the guys on on the F30 forums figured out a way to load the bimmertech updates onto the Andream unit.Īnyway, I bit the bullet and bought the Andream unit, going to see how it works out, and see if they have an update that could fix the resolution issue. I did see the 'new' bimmertech unit which had new firmware that fixed this issue. I held off for a while because all the ones I've seen has the resolutiom issue where it stretches in the 10" screen. ![]() I too have been in the same boat looking for a plug in box solution. I am sure it wont be long now they do them for the evo system > I did get am MMI that was for the evo system but it didn't like my large screen so no picture displayed. So far I haven't bit the bullet on any of these. Looks like they may have also figured out the audio issue also ( ). They say its for a 2018 car, but I believe it should be no different than our 2019's ( ) Lastly, there is this Hifimax unit which replaces the entire screen, but I think you lose touch within idrive. I've emailed them and am waiting to see if they would be willing to sell in lesser quantities. There is another box I found that looks promising but it looks like they only sell in bulk. I do wonder though if he was they were referring to their old MMI box and not the MMI Prime unit. I emailed them about my 2019 x3 and was told it wouldn't work which is disappointing. From what I've read, the Bimmertech box is a rebranded Andream box with some custom firmware tweaks. I think issue is that our cars don't have an auxiliary audio input which the retrofit boxes need to pass audio to the headunit. I've been looking for a solution for about a year now. Have you found an AA retrofit solution yet? I'm in the same boat as you. I assume my head unit is the ID6 EVO i just cannot find anyone who has fitted one that's working īimmer tech list one and it shows as compatible with my model but via the vin checker it states its not. Has anyone got Android Auto through the MMI working on there G01/G02 mine is a 2019 model so pre idrive 7. ![]()
